Brilliant Ideas: Takahiro Iwasaki
Takahiro Iwasaki is best known for his detailed miniature landscapes, made from found materials such as toothbrushes, books, flags and used clothing – even hair. Having grown up in Hiroshima, his works, while whimsical, are melancholy, reflecting Japan’s trauma both historic and more recent with the Fukushima nuclear disaster. One of six episodes I shot in China and Japan for Bloomberg's Brilliant Ideas series.
